Memory & Memorial Quilts for the fabric of our lives

Each quilt is special to me. I use the most interesting parts of the clothing you send to me. A reinforcement backing is fused to each square and the memory quilt is then assembled using light-weight batting and a solid colored fabric for the back of the quilt. The layers are then sewn together for stability.

Pricing

Memory Quilts are $12 per square. This price includes all material and labor except your t-shirts. We can also use a combination of smaller logos, photos, ties or almost any fabric item you can think of for an extra charge.

A $100 deposit is due with each order and shipping is $20 per order. The shipping charge includes both inbound and return shipment.

Our minimum order is $100.

Sizes

Squares are usually 15" but may be adjusted to fit your items.

A “throw” quilt would measure approximately 4½ ’ X 4½’ and would require at least 16 t-shirts, or other pieces of clothing.

A twin size quilt would measure approximately 5¾‘ X 7’ and would require at least 30 squares.

When we receive your order:

Your order will be carefully reviewed and confirmed by mail, e-mail or phone. We will mail you a receipt for the deposit and record the balance due to reflect the quilt size ordered. All orders that require shipping and handling, please add $20.
Your shirts will be carefully stabilized and accurately cut to size.
We will arrange your shirts with attention to color and design.
We use quality materials and workmanship to construct a quilt top.
The top is layered with batting and backing and machine sewed together.
Your quilt will be ready in less than 4 weeks after placing the order.

When you place your order:

We will send you your Buttonwood Originals prep kit. The kit includes a box in which to ship us the fabrics of your life. You will have an opportunity to indicate special preferences on the enclosed form. The kit will include a pre-paid UPS shipping label to send your clothing pieces, etc. to us.

A little something special:

How about an embroidered inscription, You can add a special message to either the back of the quilt, or on one of the squares such as
“North High School 2007” or “Remembering Good Times”.
